    In 2012-13 there was a team of 12 virtual secondees working on the NIACE MHFE project. The secondees are colleagues from the field developing aspects of their work around mental health and learners with learning difficulties and/ or disabilities. They used the MHFE as a focus for their work and as a way to discuss issues as a team and build on the legacy of the previous year’s virtual secondees.

    Outreach, Empowerment and Diversity (OED)

    This European project brings together a network of 17 organisations from 14 countries. The network’s aim is to tackle the need for outreach to marginalised groups, especially migrants and ethnic minorities, for the development of more diversity in adult education, and especially the inclusion of learners´ voices, and for the empowerment of its learners to become active European citizens.

    I am workingwith the wonderful Rachel Perkins and West London Mental Health Trust to develop some co produced (new buzzword) projects that are very close to service users hearts.

    These ideas were suggestd by active service users as very important and the trust are supporting our efforts - its really exciting.  The four areas that we voted on are as follows;

    Eliminating/Reducing restrain ad coercion on wards (my fave)

    Shard decsion making in medication
