Workforce equality in the North East: A resource pack to support the recruitment of people with experience of mental health conditions into further education

The development of this resource was funded by the LSC North East Equality and Diversity team. it comprises short activity based units and aims to improve the employment opportunities of people with mental health conditions in the region. It is designed for those with strategic responsibility for equality and diversity within the post-16 sector in the North East, including equality and diversity managers, HR directors, line managers and union representatives. It will be of interest to people with mental health conditions who already work in the sector, but who may or may not have disclosed their condition, and to operational managers and other employees who need to be positive and informed about mental health conditions.

Developed and piloted in the North East Region this good practice guidance is applicable to every FEdefinition provider. If your personnel or HR department hasn't seen it you might want to try and get it on their agenda.
