Rights for Life -landmark event on human rights and recovery

I usually tweet events and resources via @MHFEwhatsnew rather than posting them as news, but the Scottish Recovery NetworkSee Me, and Voices Of Experience  landmark national event on human rights and recovery in June this year really does deserve a special news item. Thanks to Susan for sending details to me in the latest SRN eUpdate.

Rights for Life brought people together around human rights, mental health recovery and non-discrimination. It was designed to be solutions-focused, engaging and positive.

There's a website, http://rightsforlife.org  where you'll find audio recorded and filmed sessions, interviews with contributors and delegates, a summary Storify of all the main online action, and links to lots of related content like speaker slides and photographs.

These rich discussions and resources will hopefully challenge and inspire and make us all think again and again. Many resources that will I am sure be especially useful for the BIS Community Learning Mental pilots (#CLMHP) courses and their workforce development.

Screenshot from Heather Stuart's slide presentation at the Rights for Life event in June 2015I know already that I will be recommending Heather Stuart's presentation: 'Stigma: A Human Rights Perspective'. I wonder which resource will have most impact for you?

#CLMH_pilot projects will find much among these resources that will be of real value to their workforce development. Time spent checking out these resources before you plan your workforce development will definitely pay off.
