Diversity Today - Gypsy, Roma, Traveller History Month

Today is... First day of ‘Gypsy, Roma, Traveller History Month’ (whole month)

Britain’s 300,000 Gypsies, Roma and Travellers have lived, worked and travelled throughout Britain for over 500 years, yet they have been almost entirely written out of British history. GRTHM aims to change that by celebrating culture and history by tackling the negative stereotyping and prejudices that have led to this situation. It is a partnership between communities and those in local and central government who want to help.
