CLMH research Phase 2 spec for providers (final)

Attached below, is the final spec for learning providers involved in phase 2 of the DfE Community Learning Mental Health research project 2015/17, 

In the Phase 2 research providers are divided into the following 3 non-equivalent study groups

Group A   Group B   Group C

19 provider projects

473 courses

Target group learners only

4,733 learners

 

 

shared criteria/schemes of work/session plans

Course marketing, content, TLA and outcomes explicitly focus on courses resulting in better self-management of specific mental health symptoms, like poor sleep, social anxiety, low or fluctuating mood, coping with life course changes, etc.

All learners  complete double pre-test (baseline) and post-test progression MHSAs + some additional data demand re: demography, activity, capability.

Course marketing, content, TLA and outcomes explicitly focus on general ACLclasses as a way of helping improve learners’ mood as a by-product of learning.

 

 

 

All learners  complete double pre-test (baseline) and post-test progression MHSAs + some additional data demand re: demography, activity, capability.

50% general ACL population

4,911 learners

shared criteria/schemes of work/session plans

Course marketing, content, TLA and outcomes explicitly focus on potential for general ACL classes to offer wellbeing outcomes for all learners.
