Celebrating Mental Health Awareness Day - Getting learners involved

Firstly, good luck to everyone delivering any workshops, webinars or talks this week as part Mental Health Awareness Day.

Towards the end of the summer term, I asked learners to donate some of their work so we could have an exhibition to celebrate the work they had done. I was overwhelmed with the enthusiasm and quantity of work that was handed in. We had enough for three displays - Bournemouth, Poole and Dorchester Libraries. The learners were really proud to display their work and share it with friends and family.

We have been asked to put on two further displays this week for Mental Health Awareness Day - Oakdale and Dorchester Library.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week Bournemouth University are running a series of talks on various topics relating to mental health -full list of lectures here.  With the help of two learners from last year, I will be talking about our Living well project. I feel my role will be to give the background to the project but really the learners will be the stars of the show! I have arranged for the talk to be videoed so as soon as it is ready I will add it here. I also aim to use it in my webinar on the 26th October 'Promoting the Project'
