Wolverhampton CLMH demography

Demographic context-Wolverhamotion CLMH project

The City is culturally diverse and more than 200 languages are spoken in its communities and schools.

Deprivation is disproportionate across the City with a marked disparity between residents in affluent wards who tend to be older, have better health and have more financial resources, compared to wards in the East and South of the City.

Based on the overall measure of deprivation Wolverhampton is now in the 6% most deprived areas in England and ranked 20th overall out of 326 local authority areas.
