What's in our virtual library?
Welcome to our virtual library. It contains policy, research, reports, books, journal articles, videos, podcasts, websites and other resources.
Feel free to browse or use our special feature buttons below to find exactly what you are looking for.

Special features include:
- The 'resources' link in the left menu when you are in one of the clickable diagram topic areas takes you straight to resources about that topic.
- Filters that let you search for resources by author, title, year of publication and type of resource. If you are looking for resources from the library, you will get the best results by searching just the library collection instead of all the content on the website
- Advanced search speeds things up if you know exactly what you are looking for
- Summaries and images of documents help you find old favourites quickly and save you downloading something only to find you've already read it.
- 'Out of date' resources in a separate archive collection - it means you can still find them if you want to refer back to them but you'll know that we think they are out of date.
- Carefully selected special 'collections' (think of these a bit like boxed sets). Some are designed to help you gain an introduction to a topic, others are designed to provide in-depth information.
- 'Cite this resource' function, based on the Harvard referencing conventions and introduced by popular request (by those of you on courses).
- Use the 'send to a friend' link and send it to yourself if you want to cite any of our webpages - you'll have a copy with the title and date and URL for adding it to your reference list.
If you would like the virtual library to 'order in' a recommended resource, or if you'd like to contribute something to the library just post details in the virtual icebreaker discussion thread or send us an email.
We'd like you help to improve the virtual library by:
- Rating resources and/or leaving comments on them (you need to register to do this)
- Telling us about any e-gremlins that have crept in
- Identifying gaps in resources needed to support your practice
- Contributing your own resources, case studies and learners' stories
- Offering to review new resources
- Helping us to locate resources that are missing from the archive
- Sharing your personal 'favourite mental health resource' in our virtual icebreaker activity in the forum
