‘Socio-economic’ equality (or inequality)... What does this mean?

The term ‘socio-economic’ relates to or is concerned with the interaction between social and economic factors. This element of The Equality Bill was not carried forward and implemented in The Equality Act 2010. Therefore, it is not a ‘protected’ characteristic in terms of legislation. However, many people believe this is the most significant basis for disadvantage in the UK.
